JAMB Suspends Direct Entry Registration

  The Joint Admission And Matriculation Bord (JAMB) has suspended the ongoing 2023 Direct Entry registration which started on Monday, 20th February with effect from Tuesday, 21st February, 2023. A statement yesterday in Abuja by the board's head of public affires and protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the suspension was to enable the development of certain measures designed to better serve prospective candidates. The board stated that a new date and fresh regulations procedures, which will include upload of JAMB Admission Letter in the case of OND and NCE, Admission Letter issued by university in the case of University Diploma, and Admission Letter issued by A' Level examination bodies (IJMBE, JUPEB, etc), would be announced in due course so that candidates could proceed to JAMB offices nationwide to register. University of Ibadan Begins Post-UTME for 8,050 Admission seekers

The university of Ibadan, Ibadan in Oyo state has commence its UTME for candidates seeking admission to the university ahead of the 2022/2023 academic season. DAILY TRUST reports that no fewer than 8,050 Admission seekers are participating in the Post UTME process which began on Monday. The 8,050 candidates are seeking admission in to the sixteen faculties in the institution. The computer based examination which began at the University's distance learning center located in the Ajibode area of Ibadan will last for two days.  The exercise was monitored by  principals of the Institution The Vice-chancellor of the university, professor Kayode Adebowale, who was part of the monitoring team commended the organisers of the Post-UTME for all their efforts.  He also commended the applicant for conducting themselves in an ordinary manner.

CBN Directs banks to collect N500, N1000 notes

  The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has ordered banks to start collecting the old N500 and N1000 notes from the public with immediate effect. It, However, pegged the maximum amount the bank can collect at N500, 000. The CBN maintained that the old currencies were no more legal tender. A source from the bank said, the CBN ordered the bank to collect monies instead of going to the CBN office following difficulties encountered in getting access  to the bank. A CBN official said,"go to your bank but fill out the form before you go. Go with your reference code you generate. With your code, banks will collect it from you. NECO Release 2022 GCE Result - See checking instructions and performance statistics

The National Examination Council(NECO) has announced the release of the result of the November /December 2022 SSCE (NECO GCE). This was announced by the registrar of NECO, prof Dantani Ibrahim wushishi, in Minna, Niger State.  A total of 59,124 candidates are said to have taken part in the exam;31,316 males, representing 52.96% and 27,808 females representing 47.03%.  Further disclose showed that out of the 58,012 candidate that sat English language exam, 44,162 representing 76.13% got credit and above, while out of 57,700 candidates that sat Mathematics 43.096 representing 64. 69% got credit and above.  The number of candidates who got 5 credit and above, including English language and Mathematics is 33,914 representing 57.36% 46,825 candidates, representing 79.20% got 5 credit and above irrespective of English language and Mathematics, "he said.  On case of exam malpractice, he stated that 11,419 candidates were booked for various forms of malpractice as against 4,454 in 2021, w

The Joint Admission And Matriculation Bord (JAMB) has extended the 2023 Unifid Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration exercises by one week, starting from Wednesday, February 15, 2023. The extention according to the board, is due to the failure of candidates to get cash and the difficulty in using electronic channels to purchase ePINs. It said by the extension the sail of ePINs would end on Monday, while the UTME registration would end on Wednesday, February 22. JAMB had earlier slated the closing date for the sale of both the ePINs and the 2023 UTME application documents for Tuesday, February 14th. JAMB spokesman, Dr Fabian Benjamin in a statement on Wednesday, said at the close of sales of the ePINs on Tuesday, 1,527, 068 candidates had successfully registered for the 2023
