A WASHINGTON DC, United States - based tertiary institutions, Nexford University, has partnered with Piggyvest to offer scholarships to students affected by the ongoing Academic staff union of universities (ASSU) strike
The ivory tower, in a statement, yesterday, said the partnership reaffirmed its commitment to providing access to affordable and uninterrupted education.
The scolarship is initially for 40 learners to hone their skills in business analytics, product management, 360 degrees marketing and digital transformation.
The Nigerian firm is completely underwriting tuition of some of the beneficiaries. Piggyvest's co-founder Odunayo Eweniyi, pointed out that the collaboration was consistent with the firm's resolve to equip young people with requisite skills for lucrative local and international jobs opportunities.
Director, career innovation, Nexford University, Dr. Jennifer Bangoura, stated that the higher learning institution was committed to solved world's biggest employers challenges- skills and bringing talent gaps- in various sectors globally.
She noted that through strategic pertnership with key players in different sectors, the University has continued to expand its reach and strengthen social and economic mobility through online high quality and affordable American education globally.
