5G Development:FG Approved Microsoft's Agreement, Migration of C-Band services

The minister of communications and digital Economy, DrISAH ALI IBRAHIM PANTAMI.

The federal government has approved an enterprise license agreement for Microsoft product and the clearing of C-Band spectrum in order to accelerate the development of 5G in the country.

In a statemen, the ministry of communications and digital Economy, on Thursday, said the approval was given during the meeting of the Federal executive council (FEC) last Wednesday.

This agreement is part of the Federal government's effort towards keeping the cost of IT projects within sustainable levels, the statement, signed by the Technical assistant to pantami, Dr femi Adeluyi, revealed.

He said the agreement would give the government access to discounted prices and other cost benefits, as well as reduce project duplication across Federal Public Institutions (FPIs).
