Katsina Record First Case Of Monkeypox

 The state commissioner of Health, Yaakubu Danja, this at the distribution of madicare and free medicines to the 34 local government area (LGAs) of the state.


Reviealing that the state government had proactively activated all emergency response teams to curtial the spread of the disease in the state, Danja further disclosed that patient has been treated and discharge. 


He also revealed that 15 suspected cases whose samples have been taken to Abuja, and they are waiting for the result. 


Danja concluded by saying the distribution of the medicines was to proactively deal with the disease, as well as cholera and other rainy season related diseases. 



Katsina state has record its first case of the Monkeypox virus.
