The Islamic Medical Association Of Nigeria (IMAN), Yobe chapter, has offered free medical services to over 800 patients in Fune LGA of the state.
Speaking at the end of the two-day outreach on Sunday in Ngelzarma, the IMAN vice chairman Dr Mahmoud Ma'aji, noted that the that the exercise was conducted in various clinics in the area.
He listed the service to include consultation, the provision of drugs, psychological and psychosocial counseling as well as various laboratory tests.
He said the aged, orphans, widows, pregnant women and under 5 years children were given more attention during the outreach, which began on Sunday.
The vice chairman said the objective of the outreach was to assist the less privileged and to educate residents on the need to seek medical assistance in the hospital.
In his remarks, the Emir of Ngelzarma, Muhammad Mai- Yeri called on philanthropist to support IMAN to enable it to carry out it's activities effectively.(NAN)
