  The management of Bayaro University kano, has announced October 24, 2022, as the resumption date for academic activities. The announcement followed the suspension of the eight-month-old Strike action of the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU). A statement by the BUK's deputy registrar , public affairs, Lamara Garba, said the university management, after its meeting held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, approve the resumption date. "Consequently, students are to resume academic activities with effect from Monday, October 24,  2020," the statement said.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) will officially launch its digital versions of the west African senior school certificate (WASSC) on Thursday October 20, 2022. Digital certificate is one of the initiatives introduced by WAEC Nigeria to improve operations of the council since it's existence in the last 70 years. This much- awaited invention was initiated to make service delivery accessible to candidates. The digital certificate software will essentially help candidates irrespective of the year of their examination to access their certificate. It would also help in extending opportunities to those with the challenges of lost original certificate.
