Paul Pogba Likely To Miss World Cup Due To Knee Injury

  Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba could miss the 2022 FIFA world Cup if he undergoes surgery on his knee after picking up an injury during a preseason training session. Police Arrest 18 Rustlers, Recovers 772 'Stolen' Animals In Gombe

  The Gombe state police command  said it has arrested 18 suspected  cattle restlers, who allegedly carted  away cows and other domestic  animals from Bauchi, plateau and  Taraba States. Parading the suspects before the newsmen  on Monday, commissioner of police, Ishola  Babatai, said police tactical teams in  collaboration with vigilant groups and  hunters mobilised and trailed the restlers  following the tip-off. He stated that the suspects were intercepted  around Kalmai junction in Billiri local overnment area of the state. According to him, upon sighting the security  personnel, the Rustlers abandoned the  animals and fled. He, however, said that the police are able to  arrest 18 of them, who he said are helping  the police with information. Badaita disclosed that a total of 483 cows,  186 sheep and rams, 3 donkey, 4  motorcycles, 9 mobile phones, and the sum  of N994,000 were recovered from the  suspects. 2023: 4 NNPP Officials die After Unveiling of Kwankwaso's Running Mate

  After 4 officials of New Nigeria People's  Party (NNPP)  in Niger state recently  reported dead after being involved in an  autocrash. The chairman of the NNPP of the state,  Muhammad Damisa, told journalists on  Sunday July 24, that the incident occurred  along Lambata/Bida road as party chieftain  and officials were on a return journey after  the official unveiling Dr. Rabi'u musa  kwankwaso's running mate.  According to Damisa, two local government  party chairman, one youth leader, and a  driver died in the accident, punch reporters.  He said:  "we lose two of our local government party  chairmen, one youth leader and a driver  When the accidents occur.  " some of our members also got injured in  the accident and it include the party  chairman Gbako, Lapai and Etadi local  government areas." Admission: NABTEB No Longer Recognised For Direct Entry - JAMB

  The joint admission and matriculation board (JAMB) has said it will no longer considered the A'level result by the National Business and Technical Education board (NABTEB) for candidates seeking to gain direct entry admission in to tertiary institutions. Over 700 Teachers Failed Primary 6 Maths, English Exam In Bauchi

  The Bauchi state government has revealed that over 700 Teachers Failed the primary 6 mathematics, English language and Essay writing examination in the state. Aliyu Usman Talde, the state commissioner of Education, disclosed this on Monday, noting that over 700 out of 1,000 women, trained in pertnership with the United Nations Children's Found (UNICEF) failed the examination which were part steps to employ them as teachers. Kano Government Ban Tricycles Operation

The kona state government has announced a ban on the operations of Tricycles, popularly known as A Daidaita sahu, after 10pm with effect from Thursday, July 21, 2022. Daily Trust reported that there has been a series of criminal in kano linked to either Tricycles operators or with their aid, which had led to the loss of important belongings and lives. A statement issued by the commissioner of information, Malam Muhammad Garba, indicated that the decision of that effect was reached at the end of the state security meeting. He said the measure was part of an effort to ensure the security of lives and property in the state. The commissioner urged Tricycle riders to comply, adding that security agents would enforce the ban without compromise. With this ban, the Tricycle riders will only operate between 6am to 10pm daily. Kano residents have, for many years swapped the old taxi and busses with Tricycles which have now flooded the city and nearby villages.

Eid-El-Kabir: Ganduje Pardons 87 Prisoners

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has granted pardon to 87 inmates across the correctional centres in the state as part of celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir. In a statemen, the kano command of the Nigerian correctional service (NCoS) said the inmates were pardon and released based on categories and offense. The statement read in part '77 inmates' fines were settled and compensated, while 10 inmates on Dead Raw (IDR) where pardon by the governor, including female.
