  Gombe State University, GOMSU cut off marks for the 2022/23 admission exercise have been released. This is to inform all the candidates who applied for admission into the various degree programmes of Gombe State University ( GOMSU) for 2022/23 academic session and have made Gombe State University a first choice Institution that the cut off marks for admission into the various faculties are as follows: GOMSU Cut -off mark  1• Faculty of Art and Social Science - 150 points and above 2• Faculty of Education - 150 points and above 3• Faculty of Science - 170 points and above 4• MBBS, Pharmacy, Law - 200 points and above  Accordingly. Candidates with less than 200 points particularly for medicine, Pharmacy and Law programmes are advised to immediately change to other alternative programs. 

 The National Examination Council (NECO) has released this year's senior school certificate examination, (internal) results. The number of candidates who made credit and above in the English language is 889,188 representing  74.89% while the number of candidates who made credit and above in mathematics is 929,140 representing 78.2 3% The results also shows that the number of candidates who made 5 credits and above including English and mathematics is 727,8 64 representing 60.74% Total number of candidates who actually sat for the examination is. 1,198,412 out of 1,209,703 actually registered for the examination.   The Islamic Medical Association Of Nigeria (IMAN), Yobe chapter, has offered free medical services to over 800 patients in Fune LGA of the state. Speaking at the end of the two-day outreach on Sunday in Ngelzarma, the IMAN vice chairman Dr Mahmoud Ma'aji, noted that the that the exercise was conducted in various clinics in the area. He listed the service to include consultation, the provision of drugs, psychological and psychosocial counseling as well as various laboratory tests.   He said the aged, orphans, widows, pregnant women and under 5 years children were given more attention during the outreach, which began on Sunday. The vice chairman said the objective of the outreach was to assist the less privileged and to educate residents on the need to seek medical assistance in the hospital. In his remarks, the Emir of Ngelzarma, Muhammad Mai- Yeri called on philanthropist to support IMAN to enable it to carry out it's activities effectively.(NAN)

 The Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has confirmed the death of  10 people as a result of the flood, which destroyed several houses and Farmlands across the state. Mr Adams Nayola, Director, planning, research and statistics in the agency, confirmed the figure in an  interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, in Bauchi. He said that the situation had forced many residents to take refuge in other places. The director, however, said that the agency was still gathering data on Farmlands and houses destroyed across the state. "At least, 10 people lost their lives while several hectares of Farmlands and houses are washed away in some parts of the state. "The most affected local government areas are, Jama'are, Guide, Misau, Dambam, Zaki, Darazo, Kirfi, Itas-Gadau, Shira, Gamawa and Toro.   The Governing Council of the Gombe State University (GSU) on Thursday directed all academic staffs if the Institution to resume work with immediate effect. This was contained in an internal memo dated September 2 and sign by Registrar of the university, Dr. Abubakar Aliyu Bafeto. He said the management arrived at the decision after it's second emergency meeting held yesterday, adding that attendance registers had been provided at the respective head of departments (HODs) offices for Lecturers willing and ready to resume classes.
