 INEC react to court order for resumption of voters registration. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reacted to a court order directing it to resume voters registration for the 2023 election. INEC spokesman Festus Okoye said it is impossible to resume the continuous voters registration (CBR) exercise.  Buhari to unveil new naira note tomorrow Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the central bank has confirmed that President Muhammad Buhari unveil the designed naira tomorrow Wednesday, November 23, 2022.   Academic Staff Unions Of Universities (ASUU) University of Jos chapter has ordered it is members to resume work. At the ASUU Congresses meeting on 4th November, 2022, the union resolved to sit or work from home in view of the half salary paid to their members for the month of October which can not take them to their places of work. A statement issued in Jos and signed by the branch chairperson, Associate professor Lazarus L. Maigoro  said the resolution was subject to the final decision of their national body. He said, "However, after receiving briefing of our National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the 7th November, 2022, our members resolved to vacate the sit/work at home decision while also reaffirming our commitment in the ability of our principal officers to handle the matter appropriately," Maigoro added that this implies that their members are fully back to work on campus.

There was a fire outbreak at the headquarters of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Abuja on Friday. Eddy Megwa, Director, Press Relations of the scheme, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday. Megwa stated that no life was lost in the fire outbreak which occurred in the early hours of Friday. He said the fire was immediately put out by the Federal capital territory and federal fire service Departments, adding that the inferno which started at about 7:30am was limited to the third floor of the six storey building. The NYSC spokesman noted that the floor is occupied by planning, research and statistics, and the general service Departments, saying that the fire affected only a room with electronic gadgets. The chairman of the National Population Commission, Nasir Isa Kwarra,  made this fact apparent while he was addressing at the launch of the webpage at Abuja. He underlined how crucial it is to have the best hands possible working on the census. Inuwa Jalingo , the census manager, stated that the Commission is anticipating receiving over 25 million Applicants for the vacant jobs and that the process needed to be competitive, fair, and transparent. "The Implementation of an e-Recruitment approach is to ensure broad applications from all across the country, minimise bias, and ensure that all qualified Nigerians are given equal opportunity to apply and be recruited and that no one is left behind," he stated.
